Privacy Policy

The short version

Study tools run in your browser. Your flashcards, quizzes, plans, grades and citations are kept in your browser’s local storage on your device and are not sent to us.

When data leaves your device

• AI explainer: your question is sent via our server to an AI provider (OpenRouter and the free model it routes to) to get an answer. We don’t store questions. Don’t include personal details.
• Tutor listings: if you are a tutor, we store what you submit: display name, subjects, levels, country, city/area, lesson type, languages, rate, bio, your public contact link or email, and your private email. The public parts are shown on your listing; your public contact appears when a visitor clicks “Show contact details”. Your private email is never shown. Delete your listing any time with your manage link.
• Reports and feedback: what you write, plus a scrambled (hashed) version of your connection’s IP address to limit abuse.

What else we collect

• Cookie-free visit counts using self-hosted analytics. No cross-site tracking.
• Server logs for security, kept for a short time.

Children

Students of any age can use the study tools without an account. Only adults (18+) may create a tutor listing. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.

Cookies and ads

We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies today. If we add advertising or affiliate links in future, we will update this policy, label them clearly and ask for consent where the law requires.
