ATAR Estimate – Rough ATAR from Your Expected Rank
A rough, unofficial ATAR estimate from where you expect to rank in your Year 12 group. Labelled estimate only – with links to UAC, VTAC, QTAC, SATAC and TISC.

How to use it
Enter roughly what percentage of your Year 12 group you expect to finish ahead of (for example “top 20%”). The ATAR is a rank against your whole age group, not just students who finish Year 12, so real ATARs are usually higher than a simple rank. This tool shows a wide estimate range only – your real ATAR is calculated by your state’s admissions centre using scaled subject results.
FAQ
Is this my real ATAR?
No. Only your state’s tertiary admissions centre calculates your ATAR, using scaled results. This is a rough guide for goal-setting.
What does an ATAR of 80 mean?
It means you placed higher than about 80% of your age group.
Where can I learn how scaling works?
